Terms and Conditions





1) All Pet Sitting bookings of 14 days or more will receive 1 FREE Day of Pet Sitting.
2) Public holidays will attract a 50% surcharge on the daily rate. School holidays are at the normal rate.
3) If you refer a friend, you will receive a $15 credit on your NEXT booking and that friend will ALSO receive a $15.00 Credit on their booking.

4) Please ensure that you have enough pet supplies (i.e. food) to last while you are away. Any extra supplies/expenses incurred will be added to your invoice and a $10.00 shopping surcharge will be applied.
5) Payment in FULL is required 7-10 days before first visit except in any school, long weekend or major holidays in which case payment is required 2 weeks (14 days) before any service to allow us to set all of our bookings.. Failure to pay on the due date may result in termination of our services.
6) Accepted payment methods are by DIRECT DEPOSIT, CASH, CREDIT CARD. Account details will be provided on the tax invoice you receive.
6.1 If selecting to pay via credit card an invoice will be sent your email address.
7) If a separate trip is required to collect and drop of your keys, this will be charged at $15.00 per trip.
8) Any extra time required for dealing with emergencies with your pet or at your home will be charged at $10 for every 15 minutes. This fee covers emergency transport to your veterinarian, or time spent on unforeseen events, such as home maintenance , dogs running off etc.
9) Dog walking service: Dogs must be controllable on a leash. A Maximum of two dogs can be walked at any one time and an additional $5.00 will be charged for the second dog.
10) Any extensive cleaning of cages/or of the home, if the animal has had a little accident inside that requires extra care and additional time will be charged at $10.00 for every 15 minutes.
10.1 Home Pet Services will clean up after your pets to the best of our availability. We have basic cleaning material and deodarisers. (We are not professional carpet cleaners) Home Pet Services is not responsible for any residual carpet/flooring stains left by your pet after every effort has been made to clean these. 10.2 Home Pet Services are not resposible for your pet getting into any food etc. on visits that we are not doing inside house service as well. If we see that it will be an issue we will look at moving any food. If food has no safe place to be we will take it with us. A $15 per 7 day fee occurs for us transporting food etc. If we are required to purchase extra food charges apply as per terms listed above.

11) We reserve the right to refuse bookings for any of the following reasons:
11.1 Animal shows aggression or antisocial behaviour in Introduction Meeting.
11.2 Inappropriate provision made for animal health and safety while owner is away.
11.3 If payment has not been received in full at time of expected first visit.
11.4 If Client does not agree to terms and conditions
11.5 If Client does not complete Pet Home Services Contract in required timeframe (picked up on introductory visit)
11.6 If Pet Home Services staff feel unsafe at client premise
12) $2 additional Petrol Surcharge per extra km to a max of 10 kms over our 10km range for services (we will go no further) will be applied per visit depending on location of your suburb. We include in fees as standard a max 10kms drive from the office to and from client.
*$5.00 from each pet sitting booking of more than 6 days is donated to RSPCA QLD.

PET SITTING TIMES/ALLOCATED PET SITTERS:
1) Our visits to your furbabies will be at our time of choosing pending what suburbs and pets we need to service. (AM or PM) however due to unforeseen circumstances, or volume of bookings these time frames may be altered at our discretion.
During peak time periods , Weekends and Public Holidays (School Holidays), Am visits will occur between 5.30am and 11am. Pm Visits will occur between 1pm-7pm.
We are busier on weekends and public holidays so we are required to offer less time on services to cover the extra work load. We do not have a fixed time every day for services of your pet as changes may occur with other clients. Please bare in mind we will always have your animals welfare in our best interest.
2) In the event that your allocated pet sitter may fall ill or is otherwise unable to attend your booking, we will arrange for one of our other friendly pet sitters to visit in their place. By signing our contract you are agreeing to these conditions.

PET SITTING CANCELLATION POLICY:
Home Pet Services Dog Minders, carefully structure their time to service you and our other clients, therefore the following will apply in the event of cancellation:
Once a payment is made, if client wishes to cancel their booking, and more than 3 weeks notice has been provided, the monies will be returned to client in full.
If 2-3 weeks notice is provided than 25% monies will be non refundable.
If 1-2 weeks notice is provided than 50% monies will be non refundable.
If under 1 weeks notice is provided than all monies will be non refundable.
We have all of our service paid for and booked at times weeks in advance and are structuring our days accordingly. We may have not accepted or cancelled bookings due to your service that we cannot get back if you decide to cancel at late notice. Less than 24 hrs notice of cancellation, will result in One full day rates being charged.
Please note that during any school holidays or long weekends we are usually completely booked out (sometimes months in advance) and usually are required to refuse further bookings from other clients once we are fully booked so your decision to cancel will affect us greatly which is why we are required to charge accordingly to time frame notice received.
If cancellation request submitted after Introduction Visit completed, a $10.00 Introduction fee is payable.

EARLY RETURNS: Pet Home Services carefully structures our time to service you and our other clients, therefore there are no refunds for early returns.
PET MINDING: We do no pet minding at our premises, all of our services are at your home.
INDEMITY: By signing our contract you recognize Pet Home Services is not responsible for any unintentional errors, omissions, or incorrect assertions. I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pet Home Services Pet Sitting of any and all claims of injury, expense, costs, or damages caused by the actions of my pet/s while under Pet Home Services care .

IMPORTANT: Of course The Team at Home Pet Services will take every measure to ensure that your furry friend is happy and content, and we will contact you at every stage if we are facing difficulties to work with you to solve the issue.
We will not attempt any of the above without your prior approval, and we thank you for your cooperation if this rare situation was to occur.

If 2-3 weeks notice is provided than 25% monies will be non refundable.
If 1-2 weeks notice is provided than 50% monies will be non refundable.
If under 1 weeks notice is provided than all monies will be non refundable.

SPECIAL PET CARE PACKAGE:
This package is only available to selected businesses and their employees. (RSPCA - DOG POUND - VETS - ANIMAL Shelter)
Staff are entitled to a 15% Discount on selected pet sitting packages (For bookings greater than 3 days) including House Sitting and Dog Minding.
To Receive the discount, you must email your enquiry from your work email. Or quote your staff Id no.

WEATHER WARNINGS:
In cases of severe weather, Home Pet Services reserve the right to reschedule dog walks to an alternative time that suits both client and staff - even a different day if required. This is to ensure both the safety of your furbaby and our staff.
Pet sitting times may also be altered to occur around severe weather incidents. This may mean Home Pet Services will visit at an earlier than expected time frame.
In cases of severe weather, we will attempt to notify you of any changes to your bookings. Also upon your advice we are happy to contact your emergency contact people on file, and discuss with your neighbours our plans, so that where possible we can ensure where we can't be present, due to severe storms there is still a watchful eye over your furbabies.

Photo - Text - Video: We will send regular info to you so you can see how your pets are doing. We may not send every day.

Time with Pets: We attempt to spend 15 minutes (pending Public Holidays, Weekends etc) as standard with your dog/cat, different with other style pets unless you have selected Walks that are half an hour but are not intensive, fast paced or as much fun for most pets as playtime. Playtime with dogs involves getting them running around, chasing balls etc.Cats love to chase the different toys that we have or enjoy some pat time. We recommend playtime over walks. We find after approx 15 minutes most animals have had enough and want to relax.

General Procedure: We play with animals after first checking the house, mail, bins, watering plants etc. We than do any medications required before we than clean water bowls and fill them. This allows for the pets, especially dogs to settle a bit before we than feed them.

Time of Visits: We have no set time unless you have selected a custom package and find that we generally spend around 5 minutes watering plants ,bring in mail, bins in /out and a few minutes cleaning bowls etc. Any travel outside of our 10kms service range is either paid in extra as listed above or time taken off with pet care. We than do our pet services as listed above.

IMPORTANT: We do not charge for our introductory visit if a booking is made within 14 days from that time. WE DO CHARGE for a visit if you do not make a booking within the 14 days or are not there when we arrive for the booked appointment. $20 charges apply. We cannot afford the time and travel if we are not required.
